About the Artist

Born in Co. Limerick and studied in Limerick College of Art & Design, Dublin Ireland and Warwick University, England. Ann now lives in Naas, Co. Kildare. Her inspirations are trees, plants and gardens and maps.

Ann is best known for her very large paintings and drawings of leaves and tree branches, typically focusing on the surfaces of leaves and on the spaces between leaves and the stems and branches, exploring the concept of space and structure.  She also focuses on colour and the dynamics of placing different colours side by

She works with pure acrylics on canvas, card and board and mixes acrylics with pencil. She also works with paint, charcoal and acrylics on paper

Ann has spent the past number of years focusing on developing her career in the business world whilst continuing to paint and draw in her spare time. She has exhibited in the Municipal Gallery and the Belltable Arts Centre, Limerick City and in Celbridge House, Kildare, amongst others
